In the recent redevelopment of Sydney Airport Terminal 1, the architects were aiming high. Their plan: to create a modern celebration of the glamour of air travel and a truly dynamic passenger experience. Elegantly streamlined, high performance washrooms would play a crucial part in that experience. And speed was of the essence…

Working closely with the architects, we supplied and commissioned a system that combined the super-efficient BC2003 hand-dryer with specially designed large-capacity foam soap dispensers, all discreetly concealed behind a mirror, for a sleekly minimalist washroom effect.

Triggered by infra-red sensors, those dryers take hands from dripping to dry in just 13 seconds – ideal for airport-users with flights to catch, as well as highly energy-efficient. Our intelligently designed bulk foam system also cuts down on refilling, which helps save on costs.

At Dolphin, we’re happy to push ourselves hard to deliver exactly what clients need, when they need it – and this project gave us a good chance to prove it. To minimise passenger disruption at peak times, we worked with the architects and contractors around the clock to get the job finished on schedule.
